There you rebuild a run-down village with the help of heroines such as Mirabella, Nyakol, Lily and Maddie, while your battle hero, Sakuya, fights through the Expedition. When did Isekai: Waifu Overlord come out, and where can I play it?
It came out on Steam on September 25, 2026, free to play, for Windows and macOS; before launch the listed date moved from September 16 to September 22 and then to September 25. The game has been on Nutaku since July 16, 2026, and a standalone browser version runs at isekaiwaifuoverlord.com, a site that says it is operated by IT Delaza EOOD, Bulgaria. Is it free, and what is sold for real money?
It is free to play everywhere, with optional purchases. In the browser version, prices are in US dollars: gem packs from $4.99 (250 gems) to $49.99 (2,875 gems), summon-ticket packs from $4.99 (4 tickets) to $99.99 (92 tickets), bundles from $4.99 to $249.99, a $19.99 Monthly Card and a premium Battle Pass at $19.99, or $49.99 with 30 extra levels. You can progress without paying: a free bundle every day, daily, weekly and monthly tasks, and the free track of the Battle Pass.
Are there promo codes, and where do I enter one?
No code has been published so far — not in the Steam announcements, in Nutaku's news or on the publisher's Bluesky account. The game has a field for one: gear icon at the top right → Settings → Promo Code, type it into “Enter code” and press REDEEM. Past giveaways went to every account instead: 20 Summon Tickets on April 24, 2026 and 200 Gems on April 30, 2026. The code “Waifu” belongs to another game, Wet Wealth. More on the promo codes page.
Why can't I open the Steam page from Germany?
Steam hides Adult Only titles from its German store, and this game is one of them, so the store page does not open there. That is Steam's general handling of Adult Only games, and its rating data flags this one as banned for Germany. Austria and Switzerland get the normal page. From Germany, the browser versions are the practical route — Nutaku or isekaiwaifuoverlord.com — and German is among the game's 22 interface languages.
Does it run on Mac, Linux, Steam Deck, Android or iOS?
Steam lists Windows and macOS (High Sierra or later, on an Apple M1 or Intel Core M); there is no Linux build. Valve rates the game Playable on Steam Deck. On phones there is no Google Play or App Store listing: Nutaku offers an Android APK, an iOS version installed by sideloading and play in a mobile browser. Which languages does it support, and is there voice acting?
Steam lists 22 interface and subtitle languages, among them English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Thai and Vietnamese. Full voice acting is in English and Russian and came with the Steam release. The publisher's update of October 9, 2026 brought voice acting to the web and Nutaku versions as well. Nutaku's listing names 15 languages for its version; in the browser version the language is picked in Settings.
Is it an idle game? Do the battles play themselves?
Both halves run largely on their own, and one button switches between them. The Village is an idle economy: the Farm, Tavern, Market, Adventurers' Guild and Smithy pay coins every few seconds and keep paying while you fight, and the right heroine working in the right building earns more. The Expedition is a side-scrolling auto-battle: Sakuya fights waves and a boss at the end of each stage while you choose her gear, class and companions. Every income goal the village reaches multiplies her Health, Attack and Defense, so the two halves feed each other.
How do summons work?
Heroines are summoned at the Temple. On the “Blessing of the Goddess” banner one summon costs one summon ticket and SUMMON X5 costs five; a ticket costs 80 gems in the shop, and tickets also come from the free daily bundle, tasks and the tutorial. A Legendary girl is guaranteed within 120 summons — the banner counts down with every pull — and WISH lets you pick a featured girl. Heroines come in four rarities: Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythical. The first four are Lily, Nyakol and Maddie (Rare) and Mirabella (Epic).
How do relationships and the gallery work?
Each heroine has a Sympathy track with four tiers: Stranger, Friend, Lover and Partner. Hearts raise it — gifts come in four tiers worth 10, 20, 40 and 100 hearts — and the track pays out materials, gems, hammers and Dates — story scenes — at set tiers. The Lover tiers need the girl promoted to level 10. Her scenes collect in the Gallery at the Temple and unlock as you spend time with her. Steam marks the game Adult Only; its content note lists sexual content, nudity, BDSM and crude language and states that all characters are over 18.
Who makes Isekai: Waifu Overlord?
On Steam the developers are Passion Panda and GreenT, and the publisher is Passion Panda Publishing. Nutaku's listing credits a different name, MobiGames, as developer and publisher. The standalone browser site names IT Delaza EOOD as its operator.
