Isekai: Waifu Overlord (Steam App 3850550) was released on Steam on September 25, 2026, free to play for Windows and macOS. Before that it had run in the browser on Nutaku since July 16, 2026, and the Steam listing had shown two earlier dates, September 16 and September 22.

The date
The Steam store page shows the game as released on September 25, 2026. The date moved twice before it held: in late August the listing showed September 16, in early September it showed September 22, and from mid-September it showed September 25. Neither move came with an explanation. The developers' 100,000-wishlist post of September 22 set launch day for September 25, and the game came out that Friday.
The release announcement went up at 14:30 UTC (16:30 CEST). It calls the game free to play and names one release bonus: full voice acting in English and Russian. With the release the listing also grew from 10 to 22 interface languages and gained 66 Steam achievements and a Playable rating for Steam Deck.

Other ways to play
Steam is the newest of three routes. Nutaku has carried the game since July 16, 2026, in the PC and mobile browser, as an Android APK and as an iOS sideload; it needs a Nutaku account. There is also a standalone browser version at isekaiwaifuoverlord.com, which starts on a guest account and installs nothing; its footer says it is operated by IT Delaza EOOD (Bulgaria). In Germany, where the Steam page does not open, these two are the way to play. Each route and the Steam requirements are on the download page.

Was Isekai: Waifu Overlord delayed?
The Steam date moved twice before release, from September 16 to September 22 and then to September 25, without an announced reason. From mid-September the listing held at September 25, and the game came out that day.
Is there a demo on Steam?
No, and none is needed: the full game has been free on Steam since September 25, 2026. A demo came out in October 2025 and took part in Steam Next Fest; it has since been withdrawn.
Were there launch rewards?
The release bonus was a feature, not an item: full voice acting in English and Russian. No code came with the release. The game has a Promo Code field in Settings; whether any code is out is on the promo codes page, and the events since the release are on the news page.
How many wishlists did it have before launch?
The developers posted 65,000 on July 28, 2026, 80,000 on August 31 and 100,000 on September 22, three days before launch. Steam itself does not publish wishlist counts.
Is it out in Germany?
Not on Steam: the store page does not open in Germany, as with Steam's Adult Only games in general, while Austria and Switzerland see it. In Germany the browser version and Nutaku are the way to play.
